Map Browser is a graphic tool designed to be able to view maps. It comes equipped with a series of functions that let you, for example, zoom in to see better detail, identify areas of the map, include labels, edit the data of each attribute, etc.

Map Browser lets you read the following types of maps without needing conversion: ESRI Shapefile, MapInfo TAB, TIFF/GeoTIFF and ErMapper ECW. You just have to load the file into the Map Browser viewer, and you can then move about each map easily.

However, the best thing about Map Browser is that it`s completely free.
